“Abnaki #55 wishes to announce that it will be making available for purchase at the local grocery stores on Deer Island a 2016 tide calendar. Much time and effort has gone into this project and we hope that it will be well received in the local community.

There are several features to this calendar that will make it an attractive purchase for locals who depend on a good tide calendar. Firstly, it has no batteries to run dead and doesn’t depend on cell phone reception. Secondly, all times on it are adjusted for daylight savings, so no need to worry about adding an hour. You look at the calendar, you look at the clock… you know when it is in the tide. Thirdly, the data for heights of the tides is for Eastport, Maine and is given in feet, which, most would agree, is the most desirable unit to measure tide in, or, at least, the most familiar. Lastly, the backing sheet boasts a beautiful colour picture of Leonardville Harbour as well as the phone number and hours of all our local grocery stores and the phone number for Pilgrim’s Take Out.

The charge is $10. Proceeds from the sales of the calendars will help us maintain our lodge, continue to contribute to worthy local causes, and, go towards our annual contribution to Camp Good Time, a principal charity of the Grand Lodge of New Brunswick.

Copies will be available for purchase from:
Welch Store
Richardson’s Grocery
Bella’s Country Store
